Smartlift Extension at our UK Site

Warehouse, new front office extension along with old office new facade. In August 2025, we finally broke ground on the long‑awaited extension to our warehouse. The unused land on the left side of the site gave us the perfect space to grow—allowing us to hold more printed stock for customers as well as additional company inventory. It’s a major step forward in supporting our continued expansion. The build itself has been fascinating to watch. The frame rose quickly, almost like a giant Meccano or Lego set being assembled piece by piece. At the same time, our middle warehouse has been extended to line up with the far‑left building, creating a more unified site layout. After staring at drawings and plans for so long, seeing the project finally come to life has been a real milestone for everyone involved. The Framework Once the frame was in place, the roof followed soon after—marking the first step in making the new warehouse fully watertight. From above, the scale of the extension becomes even more striking. With the roof on, the space feels significantly larger, giving a clear sense of the capacity this build will add to our operations. Walls are up Now that the walls are up, the full outline of the extension is becoming clear. The old blue metal edging on the existing structure has been replaced with a sleek anthracite‑grey finish, giving the entire building a fresh, modern look. Interior work is underway too, now that the warehouse is fully sealed and watertight. Office Extension Our office extension has officially began with brickwork going up. As we have grown in staff numbers since 2022 with 5 new team members joining Smartlift, our office has felt significantly smaller, with desks taking up most of the floor area in the existing office. The New build office is going to be a game changer allowing for everyone to spread out a bit more but also allowing for growth. The canopy has now been removed, and the brickwork is being carefully taken down—marking a major milestone in the transformation. This phase feels especially exciting, and we’re looking forward to revealing the new space we’ve been working toward.
Newsletter – MARCH 2026

As we move through another dynamic period for global supply chains and manufacturing, we wanted to share a brief update on Smartlift, covering several key factors currently affecting the packaging industry and how our company is responding. Global Conflict and Market Uncertainty Ongoing geopolitical conflicts (the Iran war in particular) continue to influence global energy costs, transportation routes, and raw material availability. These disruptions are affecting manufacturing industries worldwide, including packaging. While the situation remains unpredictable, we are closely monitoring supply chain risks and working with our suppliers to maintain stability. Producers are struggling to secure raw material as India is prioritising oil for domestic fuel rather than manufacturing. Price Increases Due to the continued pressure on raw materials, energy, logistics, and labour costs. price adjustments across the packaging sector remain unavoidable. Materials such as paper, board, plastics, and adhesives have seen significant cost fluctuations. We are committed to keeping increases as minimal as possible while maintaining the quality and reliability. Throughout the years, Smartlift has managed to absorb sudden price spikes without having to go back to the market ‘cap in hand’ on existing contracts. Due to raw material increasing by 60% over a two week period and the lack of raw material available. Contracts agreed with our customers prior to the conflict starting in Iran and the Middle East, may need to be reviewed. We will be in touch with individual customers to discuss this further. Smartlift Christmas Party Night 2025

The Smartlift team celebrated the festive season in style with a brilliant Christmas party night 2025 at The Ffolkes in King’s Lynn. From the moment everyone arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and end‑of‑year cheer. The evening began with a complimentary glass of prosecco or refreshing orange juice, the perfect way to ease into a night dedicated to good company and well‑earned celebration. Classic Christmas Dinner Once seated, the team enjoyed a classic Christmas carvery dinner that truly exceeded expectations. The food was exceptional—beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and exactly what you want from a festive feast. Dessert was a delightful little treat, offering mini portions of cheesecake, crumble, and a selection of ice cream scoops. The bite‑sized options meant everyone could indulge without hesitation, and they went down an absolute storm. Disco Dancing By around 9pm, the disco kicked into full swing, and that’s when the night really came alive. Some of the team headed straight for the dance floor and showing off their best moves. Others enjoyed the heated outdoor terrace, taking in the crisp winter air while still staying cosy. As the evening wound down, one sentiment was shared by all: what a fantastic night and roll on next Christmas.
Statement on Polymer Supply

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East is having a significant impact on global supply chains, particularly within the petrochemical sector. As many polymers are derived from oil and gas feedstocks sourced from or transported through this region, the instability is contributing to reduced production capacity, logistical disruptions, and increased transportation risks. As a result, the market is currently experiencing polymer shortages, extended lead times, and rising material prices. Suppliers are facing challenges in maintaining consistent supply, and these pressures are being passed through the value chain. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and are working with our supply partners to mitigate disruptions wherever possible. However, customers should expect ongoing volatility in availability, pricing, and delivery timelines until the situation stabilises. Why Bespoke Bulk Bags Are Transforming Material Handling for Modern Industry

In industries where every detail matters—whether it’s construction, manufacturing, agriculture or environmental management—the equipment you choose has a direct influence on efficiency and safety. One of the tools quietly driving major improvements across these sectors is the bespoke bulk bag. Long gone are the days when businesses had to rely on generic, one-size-fits-all packaging options. Today, companies are turning to specialised bulk bags designed around their exact operational needs. And when you look at the benefits, it’s easy to see why. Why Custom Bulk Bags Are Becoming the Standard Every business handles materials differently. Some deal with powders, some with grain, others with aggregates, chemicals, plastics or waste. The key to smoother operations is using packaging that’s built for the specific product you’re moving—not trying to make a standard bag fit into a process it wasn’t designed for. This is exactly where bespoke solutions shine. Made for Your Material, Not Someone Else’s Custom bulk bags are manufactured to match the weight, flow, density, and handling characteristics of the material. That means fewer issues with tearing, bulging, dust, contamination or inefficient loading. When a bag fits the job perfectly, the entire workflow becomes more controlled and predictable. Safety You Can Rely On With bespoke bags, the lifting loops, stitch patterns, fabric strength and reinforcement points can all be engineered around how your teams and machinery handle materials on site. This reduces the risk of spills, equipment stress, or unsafe manual adjustments. Improved Storage & Transport Efficiency A tailored design also makes stacking, storing and transporting materials more space-efficient. Baffle bags, food-grade materials, UN certification and different filling/discharge options can be incorporated depending on the industry’s needs. Trusted Suppliers Make All the Difference For businesses looking to upgrade their operations, working with specialist suppliers ensures that every bag is produced with the right specification, testing and compliance. Smartlift provides exactly this level of custom manufacturing, offering high-performance solutions created to match the requirements of demanding industries. Businesses looking to introduce custom FIBCs can explore their full range of bespoke bulk bags here:👉 https://www.smartliftbulkpackaging.co.uk/product/bespoke-bulk-bags/ Whether you need custom sizing, bespoke lifting options, dust-proof seams, anti-static fabrics or tailored discharge spouts, bespoke FIBCs open the door to safer, smoother and more cost-efficient operations.
Smartlift Sponsors Cadence – A Night of Pure House Music

In October, we were proud to sponsor the Cadence House Event in support of Tapping House Hospice, located in Hillington, King’s Lynn. The evening was a true celebration of music, community, and compassion, bringing people together for a cause that touches so many lives. Cadence delivered an unforgettable night of pure house music, filling the venue with energy, generosity, and joy. From the very first beat, the atmosphere was electric, with the crowd dancing, drinking, and celebrating in unison. It was more than just a party—it was a powerful reminder of how music can unite people and inspire meaningful change. Funds Raised The event raised an incredible £3,620.77, with every penny of profit donated directly to Tapping House Hospice. This vital charity provides end-of-life care and support for individuals and their families, ensuring dignity, comfort, and compassion during life’s most difficult moments. Knowing that the funds raised will help sustain such important work made the night even more special. Charity Work For us, supporting charity events like this is about more than sponsorship—it’s about strengthening our bond with the community. We believe in giving back and standing alongside organisations that make a real difference. Many of our Smartlift staff joined the event, contributing to the funds raised and enhancing the spirit of togetherness, which made the evening truly unforgettable. Looking back, the Cadence House Event was a shining example of what can be achieved when people come together with purpose. It combined the joy of music with the power of generosity, leaving everyone who attended with lasting memories and a shared sense of pride. We are honoured to have played a part in such a meaningful occasion and look forward to continuing our support for community-driven initiatives in the future. Food Bank Trolley Dash Challenge

🎄 Smartlift’s Festive Charity Challenge! 🎄 Every Christmas, Smartlift proudly supports a local charity to bring a little extra joy to families who may be struggling during the festive season. This year, we teamed up with the King’s Lynn Food Bank—donating £600 with a twist! Instead of simply handing over the funds, we took part in the King’s Lynn Food Bank Trolley Dash Challenge—a supermarket sweep-style race that tested speed, teamwork, and strategy. 👥 The Teams Team Sainsbury’s: Laura, Lauren, Shannon T, Andrew, and Mark Team Tesco: Tara, Kelly, Shannon M, Kevin, and Erica Before the dash began, we toured the Food Bank to see firsthand the incredible work they do. We learned what a typical three-day food parcel looks like for a couple, and gained a deeper appreciation for the vital support they provide to individuals, couples, and families across King’s Lynn. Then the competition began! 🛒 Both teams raced against the clock to: Complete every item on the shopping list Gather the most carrier bags Pack the heaviest shop Be the fastest team Collect the most of one item The atmosphere was electric, with Team Tesco narrowly beating Team Sainsbury’s by just one minute in the fastest shop category. In the end, Team Tesco claimed nearly all the awards, but both teams gave it their all in a fun, high-energy showdown. ✨ It was a thrilling morning filled with laughter, friendly rivalry, and community spirit. Most importantly, it helped raise awareness of the King’s Lynn Food Bank and the incredible difference they make every day.
Celebrating 20 years of Smartlift Bulk Packaging Ltd

This June, Smartlift Bulk Packaging proudly marked its 20th anniversary—a remarkable milestone that reflects two decades of dedication, growth, and shared success. To honour the occasion, the team spent a memorable weekend in the historic and picturesque city of York. Staying at the luxurious Grand Hotel, we kicked off the celebration in style. The weekend was filled with laughter, reflection, and a strong sense of camaraderie as colleagues came together not just as teammates, but as friends. One of the highlights was our hands-on experience at a local cookery school—where we swapped spreadsheets for spatulas and discovered a few hidden culinary talents along the way. The sense of fun and teamwork was as rich as the dishes we created. Evenings were spent exploring the vibrant city, raising a glass (or two!) in celebration of everything Smartlift Bulk Packaging has achieved over the last two decades. From humble beginnings to becoming an established and trusted name in the industry, this celebration was as much about the journey as the destination. The weekend offered time to reflect on what makes Smartlift so special: the people, the passion, and the unwavering commitment to excellence. There was an undeniable excitement in the air—pride in how far we’ve come, and optimism for all that’s still ahead. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Smartlift story so far. Here’s to 20 incredible years, and many more milestones to come.

India Trip-2024

October 2024 In October 2024, several members of our UK and Ireland team were invited to tour our long-standing manufacturing partner, Comsyn. After more than 24 hours of travel, we finally arrived in Indore late in the evening, ready to begin our journey through the heart of our supply chain. These annual visits are an important part of our commitment to maintaining a strong, transparent supply chain. They provide our team with valuable insight into the detailed processes involved in producing our flexible packaging products. This exposure deepens our understanding of the manufacturing side of operations, helping to enhance our team’s knowledge. These visits also strengthen collaboration between our teams and partners, fostering closer working relationships. First Full Day The first full day was spent at Comsyn, where we toured their impressive BRC+AA food-grade facility. We observed the intricate process behind manufacturing bulk bag. Starting with the creation of various GSM fabrics rolled into massive spools, followed by loop and dust seam production. The fabrics were then coated, printed using giant machines, meticulously sewn, and finally palletised for distribution. Evening Events That evening, our hosts treated us to a memorable dinner featuring local delicacies, offering a warm and flavourful welcome. On our second day at Comsyn, we explored their recycling facility and special projects section, witnessing firsthand the production of our polypropylene sacks. We also held productive meetings focused on sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing both their and our carbon footprint, while evaluating new bespoke product developments. Other Factories Following this, we visited another of our partner factories, which mirrored many of the same processes and efficiencies we observed at Comsyn. Our journey then took us to Jodhpur, where we toured our final factory. Much like the previous sites, this factory showcased a high standard of production. However, what stood out here was watching our pouches being fabricated and printed. This trip provided us with a comprehensive view of our manufacturing partners’ operations, a deeper understanding of their environmental commitments. This reaffirmed sense of partnership rooted in transparency and innovation.

King’s Lynn Food Bank Donation 2024

During the festive season of 2024, once again we demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the community by supporting the local food bank. Christmas is a time of joy and togetherness, but for many families, it can also be a period of struggle and hardship. Recognising this, we decided to extend our generosity and ensure that everyone in the community had access to the essentials needed for a warm and fulfilling festive period. Each year, we make it a priority to aid families in need, and this year, the food bank seemed the most fitting choice. By donating £950 worth of food, toiletries, and washing products, we made a significant impact on the lives of countless individuals in the community. We had the opportunity to demonstrate our products’ effectiveness, answer questions, and forge new relationships that will undoubtedly prove beneficial in the future. The extra storage space has proven key to our short term growth and plans are already underway for Phase II which will see our site grow a further 30%. Our office extension has begun which will allow all the staff to spread and grow into their new space ensuring a comfortable and efficient working environment. On the sales front we are seeing last year’s orders now arriving and being sent out to the various markets they were brought in for and our first class sales team are busy meeting both our loyal existing client base and pioneering into new sectors. Pleasingly we have identified many new industries that can benefit from the Smartlift product and the brand seems to have been received well. Our brand has been key to our past and is now more important than ever to our future. Having started this business from the ground I have always believed our commitment to service and quality would shape our brand. It’s fair to say that the Smartlift way has been emulated throughout the industry not least when it comes to online presence. Ten years ago we took advantage of the online platform and benefitted from being one of the first of our kind to showcase our company to the masses. Today we still invest on this stage and have confidence in the brand to push our identity ever further and stay one step ahead of the competition. Our existing and potential clients can browse our online shop window and be confident that we are still here shaping the future of industrial packaging. Of course, none of this matters without the human factor. We still believe in seeing our clients face to face and being a person not an email address. After all, how can you truly get a feel for a business until you meet the people? So, we will believe in our past and let that mould our future. Our history speaks volumes and it is a timeline to be proud of. Our people will continue to serve the industry well and we will keep investing in our people.

Our stable foothold in the FIBC market gives us credence and a platform to expand our rapidly growing product portfolio. We have reinforced our sales team this year with the addition of Matthew Cox. Matthew joined us at the turn of the year having good pedigree in Industrial packaging. Having around 20+ years of experience in our industry he adds great value to an already established team and integrating him into our family has been seamless. Good luck Matt from us all. At this early stage I will keep this post short and as the year grows more will follow. Trevor Bland Managing Director

Decembers News

With the end of 2014 approaching fast we take stock of what has happened before and look ahead towards our targets and goals for 2015. Those that read my posts will know that 2014 has been a defining year for Smartlift Bulk Packaging both in sales and internal progress. We have taken giant steps to strengthen our infrastructure and invested in the areas that will ensure our future growth. Many new products have featured in our portfolio this year but the stand out product by far is the long awaited JACKBOX. This new flood defence product was finally launched at the Flood Expo in London two weeks ago and received impressive feedback from many of the industry’s leading experts. JACKBOX is a unique, rapidly deployable, temporary flood barrier that can be constructed up to 10 times quicker than traditional sandbags. The lightweight, flexible design ensures that it can be deployed by one person and erected ready for filling in seconds and then recovered after the flood with no mess and ease Myself and fellow Director John Whitehead travelled across the pond to the Engineer Research and Development Centre (ERDC) in Vicksburg, Mississippi in November to assist in the testing of JACKBOX. The 8 day protocol put JACKBOX through its paces and replicated real life situations. Pleasingly, both the 2ft and 3ft high product withstood all we threw at it and was recognised as being a capable temporary flood barrier. Large stocks are landing in the states and in the UK by the end of January and live demonstration days will be organised in March / April. Our Website www.jackboxflooddefence.co.uk contains further information on this exciting new flood defence system. Aside from JACKBOX, we have seen many other products coming onto our portfolio this year, Industrial Buckets, BOPP Sacks and Depot Bags have performed well and in particular we have seen a massive rise in the amount of UN Approved Products that we supply. Although we stock hold UN Approved FIBC’s we have taken good orders for bespoke bags and also PP sacks & buckets. As mentioned before, a wider range of products will only strengthen our position in this market and this will be the focus in 2015. So all that’s left to say is a huge ‘Thank You’ to our clients for showing faith in us and also our suppliers for their assistance and support in our quest to be one of the UK’s premier packaging suppliers. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Trevor Bland Managing Director.
October News

Our thoughts now leave summertime behind and the change in the weather turns our attention to the colder seasons ahead. Traditionally at this time of year we see certain industry sectors cool off in particular the construction industry whilst others begin their busy stage. Animal Feed producers are now hoping for maximum impact and the Food Industry is gearing up for the busy period ahead. Smartlift will of course be stocking FIBC’s, Pallet sheets and sundry products accordingly. It’s essential we plan for and capture the demand that is placed on us from our clients to keep them in stocks ensuring their ongoing production. This is why large stocks of bespoke products are brought in and stored ready for immediate call off. I am pleased to announce that the mezzanine floor is fully installed and signed off. As mentioned in my last news feed, this has increased our storage capacity by 60% at our Head Office in Cambridgeshire. Phase 3 will need to be thought about soon as we see our stock holding commitments increase due to our larger customer base. The sales force has just returned from two exhibitions; Interplas and RWM @ the NEC, Birmingham. Both shows have given us the platform to showcase the Smartlift brand and products into an industry that is ever growing. Although after 6 days on their feet I think the guys are glad to be back! I can’t finish this feed without mentioning that we are now enjoying our tenth year of trading. The journey so far has been thoroughly enjoyable and has exceeded all expectation. A big ‘Thank You’ is needed to all of our Clients, Suppliers, Friends and Family who have supported us throughout and assisted us in our target of becoming one of the UK’s premier industrial packaging suppliers…. Builders brace for a surge in activity as new homes get ‘automatic’ permission in England

New homes in England are to be given “automatic” permission to be built. The move is part of the government’s sweeping reforms to the industry and £5bn pledge to “build, build, build” to help get the economy moving in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Under the new system, land will be categorised into one of three zoning categories – for ‘growth’, for ‘renewal’ or for ‘protection’. Developments that fall into the first two categories will be given a new legal ‘permission in principle’ status. Areas of outstanding natural beauty and within the green belt will be designated for ‘protection.’ Within the area, most new buildings will be automatically banned. Robert Jenrick, the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, said building will be speeded up by providing developers with “permission in principle” on land designated “for renewal.” “We are cutting red tape, but not standards,” Jenrick wrote in the Sunday Telegraph. Referring to the UK’s current planning system as “outdated and cumbersome”, Jenrick said the system has contributed to a generational divide between homeowners and non-homeowners. Jenrick also claims all new homes in Britain will be environmentally friendly to avoid pricey future retrofitting being required. The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government was also quick to point out that the reforms to planning permission for new housing will “create thousands of new jobs, from bricklayers to architects.” With new developments being granted “automatic permission” the building industry looks set to be a busy one in coming months and years. If you operate a building company and are looking for quality builders bags to ensure the seamless transportation of materials, Smartlift has a diverse section of high-quality builders bags including bulk bags, tunnel lift bulk bags, smartainers, polythene sacks, and more. What’s more, if you’re looking to compete with other building companies for business, you may want to have your company logo printed on the builders’ bags so you can promote your services to anyone passing by. Advice on sowing fresh seeds in autumn
With many plants seeding or being harvested during autumn, many gardeners will have an abundance of seeds to collect. These can be stored in seedbags of course, but autumn is also an excellent time to start sowing. Seed Dormancy and Stratification The horticultural term ‘seed dormancy’ refers to natural delayed germination which has multiple purposes. Its basic function is to prevent simultaneous germination of all the seeds in an area, staggering their germinations to ensure each seed benefits from the ideal conditions for growth. This helps ensure the survival of the plant genus during sudden bursts of bad weather, as well as enabling some seeds to germinate during times when there is less competition for water and sunlight from other plants. The fancy term ‘stratification’ just means ‘layering’ in horticulture, and it refers to the artificial process of purposefully placing seeds in a layer of soil to subject them to winter’s cold and moist conditions. Sowing seeds from horticulture bags during autumn time replicates the natural stratification process which softens the seed’s hard coating and prepares the seed’s embryo for growth once the spring brings more suitable weather conditions. Best Seeds For Autumn Sowing Seedbags containing seeds collected from native plants and any others that originate in areas with colder climates are ideal for stratification. Their winter dormancy phase occurs naturally in the wild so it is easy to replicate that with autumn sowing. Hardy flower annuals are ideal for autumn sowing and they will provide an early display of colour come springtime. Recommended varieties include Ammi majus, Calendula officinalis and Centaurea cyanus. Cerinthe major purpurascens, Delphiniums and Linum grandiflora are also good, as are Nigella damascene and Scabious. Other flowers that can be sown during autumn are angelica, bidens, foxglove, knautia and Solomon’s seal. You can also try red valerian and yarrow. Depending on what seedbags you have, vegetables can also be planted in autumn. Broad beans and peas, plus the likes of radishes and turnips as well as onions, shallots and garlic are great choices to plant in autumn for a springtime crop. How to Sow Seeds in Autumn Storing seeds in horticulture bags or other kinds of bags for gardening over winter can preserve them, but planting them now can ensure a good early crop with minimal work next spring. It also saves you from needing to properly store the seedbags correctly to ensure they are fit for sowing in the future. First collect the seeds on a dry day, taking care not to cause any damage to them. Horticulture bags are useful for the collecting process, though do ensure you keep the seedbags separate and identified. Sow them in pots or trays about six to eight centimetres deep, and make sure to label them or arrange them in a way that makes them easy to identify come springtime. Then simply place the pots and trays in a suitable place outside so they will be exposed to the winter weather. Also make sure to monitor the compost or soil you plant them in to ensure it doesn’t dry out, but do not overwater. Only water when necessary. Once the seeds begin sprouting in spring, let them grow hardy enough to be handled before re-potting or planting in the garden. If you need seed bags, horticulture bags or any other kind of bas for gardening then contact Smartlift who provide many different options for a wide variety of uses.
Three smart packaging options for the Hazardous and Chemical industries

The safe removal, storage and transport of hazardous materials in the construction or chemical industries is an ongoing issue that Smartlift provides a number of solutions for. The Smartainer bulk bags, conductive FIBCs and the depot bags designed for safe asbestos transport are three of the best options on the market, so here we take a closer look at each. Smartainer UN-Approved Packaging Smartainer is a bag that has been certified to United Nations standards. It is suitable to contain materials assigned to the Packaging Groups II and III. The Smartainer bulk bag has been specially designed to be a superior hazardous waste container system compared to the likes of the less practical drums, wheelie bins and cut-off rigid IBCs. As UN-approved packaging, you can rest assured that Smartainer is an excellent choice for the storage of many hazardous materials, although there are alternative options for more specific purposes as described below. Conductive FIBCs for Combustible Atmospheres When you need to fill or discharge a bag that is at risk of accidents caused by electrostatic discharges igniting the materials within, you should use one of the four types of conductive Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBCs). The four types of conductive FIBCs include Type A which is made from non-conductive materials but does not include elements to combat electrostatic charging and thus should not be used to handle combustible dusts. The Type B conductive FIBCs are made from non-conductive materials that have a breakdown voltage not exceeding 6 kV which prevents the ignition of explosive dust atmospheres, although this does not protect against explosive gas atmospheres which can still be ignited. There are no interwoven conductive materials within the fabric of both Type A and Type B bags. Type C conductive FIBCs are usually made from non-conductive fabric that does feature interwoven conductive threads which must be interconnected with less than 107 ohm. They must also be grounded during filling and emptying operations to ensure they perform as intended. The last type of conductive FIBC, Type D, is made from non-conductive materials that consist of an arrangement of conductive fibres that have no electrical contact to each other. While these FIBCs are not conductive, they do enable a certain charge dissipation into the environment. It should also be noted that it is not possible to ground a Type D conductive FIBC. Depot Bag for Safe Asbestos Removal Sheet asbestos has been notoriously difficult to extract and transport safely, which is why Smartlift devised the Depot Bag to be a simple yet effective solution to this very particular problem. The Smartlift depot bag is UN-approved packaging and suitable for the removal of bonded asbestos fibres. The exact certification is for Packaging Group II which covers the safe removal of Asbestos under UN codes 2212 and 2590. If you need UN approved packaging or bags like Smartainer, depot bags and conductive FIBCs for storing and transporting hazardous or chemical materials, then contact Smartlift who provide many different options for a wide variety of uses.

Cereals Arable Event 2023

Fantastic few days at Cereals Arable Event. Our Smartlift team attended the event to talk all things bags and bulk packaging. Trevor, Amy, Tara, Laura and John were on hand to manage the stand and interact with both our current clients and possible new ones. An enjoyable few days had by all. Keep in mind we will be attending the Cereals Arable Event next year on the 11th and 12th June 2024. We certainly hope to see you there.
Annual Clay Shoot 2023

In May 2023 we attended Orstons Shooting ground for our annual clay shooting event. The seed and pulse trade joined Smartlift for this event. The ideal balance between rivalry and quality time with our clientele. Another successful and enjoyable day had by all involved. Congratulations to Lester Winters, for winning on the day.
Why Smartlift can supply building companies with the best types of bags

All kinds of building and construction work will need bulk loads of materials that must be transported and stored safely and securely. Bulk bags are ideal for this purpose and there are many different types available through Smartlift. We can supply construction companies with everything they need and of the quality they expect. Here are some of the most popular bags used in the building and construction industry. Builders Bags There is a complete range of builders’ bags available through Smartlift, all of which are ideal for use in building works and construction. The standard builders bags come in different sizes, with the largest measuring 90 x 90 x 90cm and capable of holding up to 1000kg of load. They have an open top and flat base, a discharge spout and four lifting loops attached to each corner. There are also numerous bespoke FIBCs which you can have designed according to your corporate image with multiple colour options and a customised printed logo on all four sides. The bag material is a coated fabric with sift-proof seams, and they come with various filling and discharge options to suit a variety of purposes. Specific bespoke FIBCs include food grade bulk bags and UN-approved FIBCs, as well as Type C and D conductive bulk bags and others suitable for containing and transporting asbestos. Sandbags Sandbags are essential for a variety of purposes in building and construction, especially for stabilising road signs and securing protective tarpaulins. They are also the ideal solution for short term flood prevention. The sandbags available through Smartlift are 800 denier black and white woven polypropylene and hold up to 18kg of wet sand. A full pallet of filled sandbags will contain 65 bags and weigh about 1000kg, requiring a forklift truck to move it. Alternatively, a pallet of 40 bags can be supplied which can then be delivered via a tail lift and pallet truck. The sandbags can also be purchased unfilled. Tunnel Lift Bulk Bags Building and construction works require a lot of materials that must be stored in bulk bags, but this can make moving them around the site to where they are needed a nuisance that takes up valuable time and energy. Solve this problem with tunnel lift bags which feature two additional side tunnel loops that enable the bag to be easily lifted by a forklift truck. The side loops of the tunnel lift FIBCs are designed to stay open and ready to receive the forks of the truck, which further minimises the amount of time and effort required to lift and move the bag. Other bulk bag options include log bags, depot bags, solar bags, helicopter bags and garden waste sacks. Smartlift also provide polythene and polyprop sacks, pallet covers, machine wraps and hand held stretch wrap. If you need bulk bags for building and construction such as tunnel lift bags or sandbags, then contact Smartlift who provide many different options for a wide variety of uses.
Making Smartlift even stronger for customers in 2013
Yes, we agree, the recession is still a harsh reality for everyone. And it is true that the continued uncertainly of the erratic economic climate persists in making most members of the business community jittery, to say the least. But here at Smartlift Bulk Packaging, several key factors have ensured that we’ve kept on growing through these trying times and indeed are now looking forward to yet another year where we continue to expand our company. We’ve been on this continuously positive path since our launch in 2005 and we believe one of the most important elements that has led to such sustained buoyancy is most definitely our total commitment to provide our customers with consistently outstanding service, high quality and unbeatable value. This is the theme that has taken us from zero to a turnover approaching £3m, the promise that has attracted the now hundreds of clients we supply with flexible packaging materials to not just deal with us once, but in so many cases to keep coming back and also – a bonus that is always particularly gratifying – to recommend us to their colleagues. Our success and the stability it has brought to our business is undoubtedly a reassurance to the people we serve. As a consequence of this strength, they know we’re reliable, that we are most definitely here to stay. And interestingly, the sheer extent and diversity of the ever increasing range of products we now sell to the wide variety of different companies who are themselves in so many different businesses is in itself a buffer against the potential dangers of an uncertain market. The bulk bags we provide go to businesses of all types and sizes, from construction through to the food & chemical industries. This means that, should order levels happen to be reduced in one sector due to a decline in that particular area of the marketplace, it is usually more than compensated for by activity levels elsewhere in our portfolio. 2012 saw us move forward in a number of notable ways. Existing customers maintained and often expanded their relationship with us. And we were delighted to meet with and start to serve a number of entirely new additions to our client base. We moved into our cutting-edge, custom designed new premises in Cambridgeshire, rationalised our original King’s Lynn headquarters to make them even more efficient and continued to develop our national storage and distribution network, which allows us to confidently promise a 2-3 day delivery service from stock to anywhere in the United Kingdom. Now well into the first month of 2013, we’re looking forward to another year when we carry on applying the same rock solid principles that have advanced our company to its position among the leaders in our specialised field. We will remain steadfastly independent and family owned. We will continue to scour the world for innovative packaging solutions to add to the range that we offer. We will keep advancing and enhancing every facet of the Smartlift Bulk Packaging service. So, although it is a little late, we’d like to take this opportunity to wish all our customers a Prosperous New Year and to say thank you for your support. And to any potential clients, we’d be delighted to meet you via our ecommerce website, www.smartliftbulkpackaging.co.uk or simply give us a call on 01945 583939. And lets all have a successful 2013 together.
